This obituary examines the key milestones in the scholarly, organizational, and pedagogical legacy of Rumyana Angelova Mikhneva, a prominent Bulgarian historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and professor at the Varna Free University. It provides a brief analysis of the scholar's research and teaching activities, her contribution to the development of Russian-Bulgarian academic ties and the study of relations between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, and between Bulgaria and Russia.
