To the 100th anniversary of the member of the Russian Academy of Science Yuri Alekseyevich Pisarev

Abstract

The article traces the career of the famous Soviet and Russian scholar, Slavicist and a specialist in Balkan studies as well as in history of international relationship in the Balkans at the end of the 19^th- beginning of the 20^th century Yu.A. Pisarev (1916-1993); moreover the article covers his contribution to the Soviet and Russian Slavic studies of the second half of the 20^th century and to the development of international scientific ties. The author tries to create a portrait of the scholar using among other things her own recollections and dedicates this article to the 100^th anniversary of Yuri Alekseevich Pisarev.
