Abstract

The translations presented below were completed under Russian Science Foundation grant 25-28-02368, "Literary Manifestos of Slavic Modernism and Avant-garde (Czech Republic, Serbia)," as part of a large-scale research project implemented by the Department of the History of Slavic Literatures at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with the participation of staff from other departments of the institute, as well as other domestic and international specialists. The project aims to publish an anthology of literary manifestos of Slavic modernism and avant-garde, encompassing texts from all Slavic literatures. The first stage of the project included, among other things, the translations published here of two Czech and one Serbian literary manifestos, characterizing the era of modernism and the avant-garde in Czech culture and modernism in Serbian culture.
