Abstract

The article explores the specificities of depiction of traitors, ‘warriors’ and simple citizens in the “History of the Victories of the State of Moscow”, whose author, while skillfully using the devices traditional for the Ancient Russian literature, tries for the first time to give different characteristics of different social groups, abandoning the generalized, abstract ‘people’.
