Abstract

The article is dedicated to the evaluation made by the classical Ukrainian author Ivan Franko of the role and importance of the activity of M. F. Komarov for Ukrainian Studies, for instance, of his pioneering works on Taras Shevchenko that it took him many years to accomplish.
