Abstract

The article analyzes the perception of Bulgaria and the Bulgarians of the participants of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78: a Russian battle painter V.V. Vereshchagin, a physician in ordinary S.P. Botkin and a Cossack officer P. Dukmasov. The author shows different view on the same events, which depend on the age, profession and social status of the witnesses.
