Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the common struggle of the Slovene national activists, supporting different political lines, for the establishment of the Slovenian university at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century. Special attention is paid to their quest for compromise and efforts to join forces as well as to the growing Slovene-Germans and Slovene-Italian confrontation.
