Abstract

The article examines the occupational structure of the royal capital of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (Yugoslavia). The author presents the images of everyday life, which include housing problem, relations with the Serbian population, maintaining their Russianness, job seeking. Part of the article is devoted to the Belgrade University. Furthermore, cultural life of the Russian Belgrade, drama, opera, ballet, concerts, are explored by the author. Such facets of Russian art as painting and architecture are not forgotten. The entire text is imbued with poems dedicated to the Belgrade life and the Russian people.
