The article presents an analysis of the two versions of subregional Euroscepticism — Western Slavic and Southern Slavic — and their role in preserving the identity of each of the Slavic countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe. The author emphasises the fact that the ideas of Slavophilism and even Panslavism, tinged with Euroscepticism, still exist today. The new alignment of political forces specifi cally reveals the urgency of unifi cation of the Slavic Peoples on both subregional and regional levels in order to strengthen the identity of their respective states.
